Job Summary
Do you have a passion for contributing to efficient supply chain processes? Reporting to the Manager, International Transportation, the Inbound Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the import of finished goods and products from suppliers abroad, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. This role will work cross-functionally with internal teams including Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics while also building strong external partnerships with carriers to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Process and manage all necessary import and export documentation and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor inbound and outbound air and ocean deliveries, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports, providing insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure timely and accurate communication and resolution of any issues.
- Audit and document invoices for record-keeping and annual reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all imported goods.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with all contractual agreements.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years’ international transportation experience, degree not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in international transportation (export) required.
- Prior experience in creation of Dangerous Goods documentation experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with carrier software and tracking.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Skilled in planning and prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to develop & maintain relationships while collaborating cross-functionally within areas of the business.
Physical Demands
- Professional office environment, sedentary in nature.
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as (laptop computers, monitors/keyboards, printers, and telephones).
- Processes information and communicates effectively with others.
